Granular Meditation(TM), as coined by Chakramation, is a approach to achieving enlightenment and relaxation by incorporating small, mindful practices and traditions into daily life, rather than relying solely on traditional stillness and silence. It recognizes that not everyone has the patience or desire for extended periods of sitting meditation. Instead, Granular Meditation encourages integrating practices such as affirmations, intentional eating, ho'oponopono (a Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness), doodling, mindful music listening, and sensory awareness exercises into one's routine.
The idea is that these small, "granular" practices can compound over time, leading to a greater sense of presence, self-awareness, and inner peace. By focusing on the present moment and embracing these minor traditions, one can cultivate a state of enlightenment and emotional clarity, without the need for extended silent meditation sessions.
Granular Meditation is like building a happiness sandcastle with tiny grains of joy! Instead of sitting still for a long time, you do lots of small, fun things throughout your day to feel happy and calm. It's like saving coins in a piggy bank - every time you do something nice for yourself, it's like dropping in a coin. You can take a deep breath, say "I'm awesome," draw a picture, or listen to your favorite song. At first, it might not seem like much, but soon your happiness piggy bank will be full!
